WHOLISTIC CHILDBIRTH
EDUCATION |
|
|
|
| |
Pat
Burrell was on the
faculty of the
HypnoBirthing
Foundation, founded
by Marie Mongan, for
many years, most of
them as the leading
HypnoBirthing
practitioner in the
US. Pat found it
necessary to add
more
processes
and much more
information to her
techniques in order
to meet the needs of
her patients and
students, including
a technique to help
women through the
transition phase of
birth. This "Moving
Down" script was
later
incorporated into
the general
HypnoBirthing
Program, and caused
a dramatic increase
in the number of
Mothers around the
country experiencing
pain-free
births. After
fifteen years of
training and study,
Pat decided that it
was time to create a
program that would
incorporate the
knowledge she had
acquired in
healthcare with her
experiences in
hypnosis, which she
dubbed “Wholistic
Childbirth
Education.”
Pat
has instructed many
women and couples in
wholistic childbirth
since early 2000,
and has had
tremendous success
in creating even
more successful and
positive birth
experiences for
those who go through
her course. Women
and/or couples begin
the course soon
after the first
trimester of
pregnancy,
continuing every
other week for 20
weeks or 10 classes
of two hours each. |

BREAST FEEDING SUPPORT |
| |
Some benefits of
Breastfeeding include:
-
A strong
immune system for the
baby
-
Better
mom-baby bonding.
Breastfeeding releases a
mothering hormone!
-
Breast
milk has the exact
nutrients your baby
needs, and changes to
match her/his needs as
s/he grows
-
Breastfeeding assists
your body in healing and
returning to its
pre-pregnant state.
-
Breastfeeding helps you
shed your excess baby
weight!
-
Breastfeeding promotes
better discipline!
Because you tune-in to
your child more
effectively and
understand her/his
psychology more readily,
you can then set
behavior parameters more
effectively.
